What are your biggest motivators?

in life? I’m a big believer in being your own motivation! Continuously grow as an individual, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Whilst having outside sources of inspiration and motivation is great they're not always reliable and often not permanent. But if there is one thing that you can always rely on it's yourself. Having a good positive relationship with yourself is one of the most valuable things you can have. Of course, it's something that's so much easier said than done and it definitely takes time and constantly changes, but being able to count on and raise yourself up no matter the situation is incredibly important. Anyone that knew me 4+ years ago would tell you that I’ve done a complete 360. I was a BIG party girl, and don’t get me wrong I still like to get down if you know what I’m saying but now my health is number one priority. I was diagnosed with chronic gastritis from excessive drinking when I was 21 and had to make some serious changes to my life. It was then where my love for fitness and health was born.

What is your WHY?

I went to a fundraiser yesterday and saw this quote by Marc Ching that resonated with me, it said, “When I die, I want to die knowing that I was the best person I could possibly be. That I reached out. That I did what I could. That with the hands I have and my time here, that I breathed life into those that could not breathe for themselves.”

How do you plan to impact your community by being a Boss Babe?

My main mission in life is to inspire people, and educate people on how to start making more kind decisions.

What does being a Boss Babe mean to you?

Own your life, and be unapologetically you.

When did you first go vegan? How has becoming an animal rights activist changed your life?

Well I’ve been an ethical vegan since October 27, 2014 – yes, I remember the date because it was one of the biggest and best life changing decisions I’ve ever made! I use to make excuses for eating, and wearing animals, and now I just feel really grateful that I’m armed with so much knowledge and awareness that I’m able to act on upon these values. I am now living according to my values of compassion and kindness, as well as being in the best physical, mental, and spiritual shape I’ve ever been in. In this research process I have also learned that by eliminating these products and practices that exploit animals you can help lessen your ecological footprint, take health into your hands, and experience the peace of mind that comes from making such a powerful and personal contribution towards peace.

What is your favorite healthy recipe?

My favourite healthy recipe would be any type of buddha bowl, basically throw a bunch of healthy shit into a bowl and BOOM! ha ha ha but seriously…

What is one thing you would tell your younger self that was just starting in the fitness industry?

Don’t compare yourself to others! No one is you, and that’s your power.

How do you keep a positive mindset and keep the haters out?

I use self-help books to overload my brain with positivity! I would also say that if you’re struggling with ‘haters’ you need to remember that majority of the time the reason they’re being that way has everything to do with them, and nothing to do with you.
